Towards the end of May/beginning of June – Cimpina has fabricated 3nr Formwork Structures for the Green Port Hull (Humber Estuary) Development scheme. This scheme represents one of the largest infrastructure investments for the renewable offshore wind energy sector. Our client will use the formwork as the template to create numerous identical concrete blocks which will form the new quayside – thus permitting wind farm sub-assemblies to be stored and the necessary services/storage areas for the jacking vessels that install the wind turbines.
Working alongside the designer and client, we’ve been able to fabricate a metal structure which is simple to assemble/disassemble, safe for operators to work on and yet strong enough to withstand the external pressures of the setting concrete.
Within 1 week the first formwork was completed too much acclaim and appreciation by the client. Pouring on site has commenced but it will may take over a year for all the quay sections to be completed.
If you are needing formwork for your own project speak to our sales department and let’s see how we can help you.
